M$ Publisher and Gimp are not exactly playing in the same league. Gimp
is an image editor and Publisher a DTP program. If you look for
something that can replace Publisher have a look at Xclamation
<URL:http://www.axene.com>. Xclamation is not free but also not very
expensive (25$).
