On many BIOSes, you have to tell the CMOS to 'Assign IRQ for VGA'.  Not
all of them do it automatically, and they shouldn't, because you don't
want that behavior unless your card requires it, which the Riva 128 does.

I don't think any of them work with the free sound drivers in Linux.  If
you get the commercial OSS, those I think support them.
