I got the straight Xlib version to compile fine with RH5.0. It picked up
all my Japanese fonts, etc  OK, except the JIS212 one, which it's being
obstinate about. Gaspar hasn't tried it with the 212 .bdf, so there may
be a glitch.

I'm installing the cyberbit ttf as well.
