Sorry if I misinterpreted your question, but if you're interested in
creating a list of Japanese "words" (or morphemes), I suggest you
check out Chasen (mentioned here yesterday):
	http://cactus.aist-nara.ac.jp/lab/nlt/chasen.html
It should compile fine under Linux too.
