tlug: STB Velocity 3D and XFree 3.3.2

Hi!

I just installed TurboLinux on my desktop machine, happily throwing
AccelleratedX out, which I used so far for my STB Velocity 3D video
card (and which every couple of days messed up its font data forcing
me to restart the server over again).

Scott once mentioned that the card uses the S3 ViRGE/VX, which is
supported by XFree's SVGA server and probing also finds this chip, but
in some video modes -- in particular in 1152x900, which I want to use
-- starting the X servers freezes the machine and I have to reboot.
Does anybody have experience with this card? Interestingly, the
higher resolution of 1280x1024 works (but the quality is not good -- I
guess due to the lower refresh rate), so I'd like to use 1152x900,
which worked with AccelleratedX.

I append the XF86Config below. The spec below uses a color depth of
16; I also tried 24 with similar results. BTW, I vaguely remember
that I read somewhere that one should contribute new monitor specs.
Does anybody know where to send it.

Thanks for any advice,

Manuel
