tlug: PJE

Dear Participants,
since I'm new to the mailing list I should maybe introduce
mayself at first:
Me name is Wolfgang (Wolf.) SAUER, I'm 30 years old and
living close to Cologne in Germany. I' m going to graduate
in business administration soon (or never), but at the
moment I'm spending more time in the foundation of a firm
for Japanese webpages, maybe a chance to stay in close touch
with Japan.

When I understood the Japanese PJE introduction right,
there's either a Red Had Linux or Slackware necessary to
install the PJE-package. At the moment I'm using a German
distribution called "Suse", which might be the most popular
one in Germany. However, at least the paths are different to
Red Had Linux or Slackware. Does anybody know, whether I can
nevertheless use Suse for PJE? Otherwise I have to spend at
least a day in the installation and configuration of Red Had
:-(
By the way: how popular is Linux in Japan? In Germany even
more and more serious computer-magazines are dealing with
Linux, but it's still a long way to go.
Thank you for your replys.
 Wolf.
