Actually, you can have big problems because of the modules, as Scott
mentions.

Kernels don't (dynamically) link in the libraries.  They can't:
libraries can't be found until there's a file system to index them
with, and file systems are part of the kernel.

Modules theoretically could, but they don't.

So as long as you bring the _whole_ kernel, modules and all, across,
_and_ you have no software which is dependent on a different kernel
version (eg, file system tools), you're OK.
