tlug: SQL on the TLUG server

Hi all,

I have a couple of weeks coming up in July when I need to pick a
project to work on. This year I've decided on SQL and Apache.

Someone installed MySQL on the TurboLinux server, so I know it's
available, but there's also PostgreSQL to be considered. Any of
you have a strong preference? Why?

Does anyone know of any good resources on the web for tieing SQL
and Apache together? I have 'The Practical SQL Handbook -
Addison Wesley' as a primer on SQL but need more info on the web
server side.

Thanks,

Jim S. (An SQL newbie)

ps - anyone have any suggestions for an SQL database that will
benefit TLUG and the TLUG web page?
