What are you, from Hawaii or something? Hokkaido gets *pleasantly*
warm in the summer. Unfortunately, Oshamanbe has its own peculiar
climate, ranging from partly cloudy, chilly, and damp to cloudy,
freezing, and damp. Shortly before getting married, I moved down here
from Sapporo. Told my then-fiancee (a Hokkaido native) we would need a
a dehumidifier ... she thought I was crazy. She still does, but not
for *that* reason.

Okay if you're content with flatfish and the occasional second-rate
salmon. But I guess, the shape the oceans are in, you can't expect
much better these days.
