According to the original message, the kernel was already seeing the APM
bios, but ATX motherboards must have some differences from pure APM as
used in notebooks.

PS - we took the APM out of the kernel after TurboLinux 1.0, since Linux's
APM is somewhat unstable and will lock up some machines, esp. Compaqs.
I'm considering making separate, downloadable kernel RPMs with APM
compiled in, that you can install into your TL 2.0 system and add APM
support.  Too bad it can't be built as a module, though.
