tlug: Mail spool lock

The sledgehammer approach didn't work.  I uninstalled and reinstalled Jpine
and I still can't lock the mail.  I must say, it's got me ripping my hair
out big time :-(

I was going to wait until beta 2 to install 1.9 on this machine, but since I
don't have to work tomorrow, maybe I'll dawdle into my office and lay down
1.9 beta 1.  I know Jpine works in that one on my home machine.

As ever, thanks in advance for any ideas on getting this lock problem
straightened out.
