People who overclock tell me it improves heat transfer by eliminating any
air gaps caused by less than straight surfaces on the CPU top and heat sink
bottom.  Don't know how much it really matters, but I took the advice and
put it on my K6.  You can get little tubs of it T-Zone's DIY floor, and at
other places, I would expect.

And exactly what did *you* have gerbils and grease for? :-)
