tlug: terminal

Sometimes I'll be trying to debug code, and something in the code (usually
from newt) will cause all my lowercase letters to be mapped into extended
ascii - uppercase and punctuation map ok, but lowercase letters will come
out as orange hearts, blue starts, yellow diamonds, and purple horseshoes,
only without the color :) -- is there a way to restore the terminal chars
to their default behavior?
