Stephen,
I personally would really appreciate a talk on dpkg, dselect, and
other tools.  I'm a Debian user and have some problems with package
creation and use of dselect.  I use dpkg as my primary tool.  

Cool.

BTW, I'm getting core dumps on Lyx .12 from the Debian hamm distribution.
