I hadn't realised you were trying to run kterm under Win95. I am not aware
of the capabilities of the X-server s/w available on Win95, but it is
possible that it cannot handle double-byte codes. Have you checked?

Yes, but these are single-byte codes, ne?

I have no experience of X-servers with fonts other than .bdf & .pcf.

I think you have gone way out into uncharted waters.......
