I've been looking into IMAP a bit. The is a imap server available that

	ftp://ftp.cac.washington.edu/imap/imap.tar.Z

and some utils for manipulating mailboxes:

	ftp://ftp.cac.washington.edu/imap/imap-utils.tar.Z

I have not had a chance to check it out yet, but it might be possible
to make some scripts to move your mail around and use it with
mule. I'm purely guessing ( hoping ) at this stage. You might want to
look at:
