	Here is what happens when I mount the Redhat Sparc disk. It
always fails the first time, but succeeds the second... No idea why.

This is with a NEC Intersect CD drive.

[root@example.com /]# mount /cdrom
mount: block device /dev/scd0 is write-protected, mounting read-only
mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/scd0,
       or too many mounted file systems
[root@example.com /]# mount /cdrom
mount: block device /dev/scd0 is write-protected, mounting read-only
[root@example.com /]#
