tlug: Pointing devices

--------------------------------------------------------
tlug note from "Stephen J. Turnbull" <turnbull@example.com>
--------------------------------------------------------
While we're on the subject of pointing devices, my beloved MicroSpeed
PCTrac trackball is acting strangely. I've tried cleaning it and so
on, it could be an intermittent short or something, but since it's a
serial device and the buttons don't get flakey I don't think so.

Anybody have recommendations? My computer desk doesn't have enough
real estate to support a proper mouse at the moment, and I think I
prefer the trackball anyway. But I'm willing to listen to
recommendations on mice.

I do insist on a true 3-button pointer, though.

Steve
