What is this really possible? How can you do this? By changing the
dip switch or jumper settings on a motherboard? We build our
own machines in office, but we always set the processor speed
the same on the motherboard as on the chip. How did you figure this
out? Risking a CPU is kind of expensive if a person makes a mistake.
I call that gutsy.. :-)

I read about this in the SCSI howto or something. I think all
seven CDs are accessible, but you might want to check on it.
That is pretty cheap. I want one too. The Nak is SCSI right?
I want to buy more hardware.

BTW, we use Gigabyte motherboards with 256K pipeline burst cache.
We use 90mhz and 100mhz Pentiums. There is not that much performance
difference between the 90mhz and 100mhz. I don't have any specs
but I think the 90mhz with pipeline cache is quite a bit faster
than the 100mhz without the cache. The Gigabyte and ASUS boards
are about the same price. The guys at PlatHome said that the
Gigabytes were more reliable than the ASUS boards. Oh, that reminds
me that there was this one board there with 16 megs of cache memory.
Pretty amazing. It was supposed to really cook, but wasn't all that
great for reliability.

Craig
