Howdy,

On the few occasions that fsck has had problems when rebooting
(i.e., I didn't shutdown friendly like). It comes up saying that I need
to do a fsck manually. But then it says that I need to reboot NOW. So
which should I do? Also, if I try to login to do the fsck manually, it
won't allow me to login as root (some message about not on this console),
so I login under another name and su to root and then do the fsck. Why
does this occur?

Thanks,

Rainer
