It's all changing in the next couple of months, anyway, since our current
servers are going away. Last I'd heard we were just going to send the whole
mailing list mess over to some mailing-list-as-a-service provider and let
them deal with all of this stuff. (Seems like the right idea to me, since
this has all gotten complex enough that it just ain't worth the effort
unless you do a lot of it.)

That, too, is going away. Currently the tentative plan (as described in
earlier messages on that list) is to build a static version of the site and
drop it on Netlify which can take care of the cert thing more-or-less
automatically, I think. Anyway, can and will be fixed.

I'm probably still competently security-conscious (though I feel my old
sysadmin skills slipping away), but not an admin, and not particularly
feeling like being one outside of some cloud-web-hosting-ish stuff. :-)
