I think if you have a pen or touchpad device, speed should be
competitive with a keyboard because of more accurate pointing and
selection.  I suspect the proprietary dictionaries and learning
functions are quite a bit better.  Eg, I keep a timelog in my iPhone's
memo applet, and it learned ShakoMath in 10 ten days, and MongoDB in
three tries.  I still need 6 characters for ShakoMath and four for
MongoDB, but can a free software IM do that at all?

I doubt it will be easy to emulate their proprietary technology and
database for conversion.

Anyway, I wish they'd stop with the whizbang features and make the
thing faster (especially X11, but I suppose they just want to kill
that beast :-).
