What do you hope to get from VirtualBox that you don't get from
VMPlayer? That is, why not just use VMPlayer?
With VMPlayer I am told every other day, that some packages have to be compiled. And with a PC running xubuntu 14.04 (Tuxtrans) THAT poses in regular intervals great problems.
Mint did not yet give that kind of trouble.
It seems a bit slow too. I had hoped for some improvements here ...

What do I need it for? Running my Windows dictionaries.
I will open a new thread about that, but in years of searching, I have not yet come across
any decent / useful / good (native Linux software) dictionaries.
I have a fortune worth of very good dictionaries.
And need those to do my daily work.

Or is there any other alternative?
The other day, when I tried (also for the millionth time) to make Wine work, the attempt at setting the locale sent the system over the edge and because I don't know which "knobs to turn", I had no other choice but to reinstall the whole thing.
Not necessarily the stable working environment I need.

Sorry for my constant complaining.
Thomas
