    Did you give the keyboard a good wash.  My last T61 keyboard survived a
    full glass of scotch and coke after a good rinse under the tap.  The
    main thing is to let the liquid run through rather then tipping the
    machine upside down, or anything like that, and obviously soak up as
    much excess as you can.

I found the T61 keys I lost on the first beer spill regained their
functionality on the second beer spill. Hair of the dog?

I was going to replace the keyboard until I read about them being washable. I can't find the reference now but they actually have maximum water flow rates listed.
