For what it's worth: NTT DoCoMo owns 24.1% of Hutchison Whampoa, which owns 60% of the Swedish operator Tre, and in Sweden you pretty much can't get any worse than Tre. So having Docomo somewhere in the shareholder chain isn't an automatic recipe for success. :-)
