I tend to buy business versions of stuff that is in as new condition, or 
a few minor scratches on the outside.  be-stock also offers warranties 
but they are rather expensive and I have never used that.  As a matter 
of course I would replace the drive with a new ssd.  That will also give 
you a significant performance boost on older models.
