No need to play blue-ray disks, but being able to burn 25/50GB disks
might be useful for backup. Or, maybe the difference in price and the
cost of 10 disks could buy an external 500GB hard drive.

Thanks for the other comments, and the explanation of why they mostly
come with two USB connectors. That would be an annoyance, as I'd have to
unplug the mouse to use it.

No-one mentioned DVD region issues. Does everyone just put up with this?
