Here is an report[1-3] on research done into the release of
radionuclides by MOX fuels under severe accident conditions.

"This indicates that the consequences of plants using MOX are mostly the
same as those using UO2 from a view point of PSA (Probabilistic Safety
Assessment) because of no large difference in FP (fission products)
release during severe accidents between UO2 and MOX."
