Here is some thing I wrote on my FB yesterday, it is really effective:

A good and I hope safe way to store drinking water at home: use your
bathtub and big garbage bags. It requires patience, 2 people will do
it better. For our bathtub we needed 3 x 90L garbage bags and a few
pigtails (other ways of closing them?)
‎1. Start by putting some COLD water (make sure your gas boiler is
off) inside the bathtub, may be about 10cm. You do clean it regularly,
so it is clean, right? If not, clean it first. Yes, put the plug in.
2. Put one big garbage bag to the left and start filling it up with
COLD water; use the shower hose, possibly unscrewing the head for
faster filling. Fill it up until it is 20-30cm high. Have somebody to
hold it while you do next step.
3. Put one garbage bag to the right and start filling it up until it
is 20-30 cm high; Have somebody hold it.
4. Put a third bag IN BETWEEN the two bags, squeeze it if necessary
and start filling it up, occasionally shaking all bags to get them to
align tight. Fill it up until it is as high as the side bags.
5. Continue filling up all bags in turn and if the water level inside
them gets a lot higher than the outside (the initial 10cm you put in
the bathtub have been squeezed up), put some water outside, around the
bags (inside the bathtub).
6. You should end up about 10cm below the bathtub rim. The water level
in all bags and outside of the bathtub should be about the same. Tie
the bags securely (e.g. with pigtails). If you have bathtub mat
(お風呂マット), cover the whole enchilada and you are ready!
