Re: [tlug] [announcement] 2010-10-09 Technical meeting.

Actually I also have something I'd like to talk about if it's alright.

It's nothing too fancy but I've been working on this website http://www.gametrip.org of which the first beta went live earlier this week. I've built this thing from scratch in OO php and I'd like to talk about its purpose and inner workings a bit. Possibly receive some suggestions and/or questions from the people present. Is this an acceptable topic for a presentation?

This month, we will have a different format with four short talks.

The first speaker Masafumi Ohta will give a report on JavaOne in SFO.
This year is the first time Sun-Oracle has held this event and it will
be interesting to hear what they have to say about the future of MySQL,
Oracle EE Linux, Oracle VM (Zen) virtualization.

The second speaker Lars Kotthoff will give a presentation on the Hudson
continuous build/integration system. The talk will cover some theory
followed by a demonstration.

The third speaker Kyle Hasagawa will talk about using alternative
firmware with Android phones. The talk will cover installation,
management, backup and recovery, as well as Apps2SD, Uninstalling
uninstallable apps, over-clocking and other features.

If you are involved in a project or have something you would like to
talk about in this or a future technical meeting, we are always looking
for presenters.

Other items on the agenda are:
1. Introduction of new members, news about Linux/Open Source,
general announcements, Q&A
2. Auction

All Linux users and supporters of open source code and free software
are invited to attend this Tokyo Linux Users Group (TLUG) meeting.

About TLUG
