Essentially, as our client’s business expands, the IT team is planning a significant infrastructure project which will standardize solutions across APAC. This role is for a highly-motivated, independent storage engineer who has a working knowledge of operating systems and who is up-to-date on the latest computing architectures. Technical:

Desired:
-Expertise in financial industry
-OS experience in one or more of the following: Linux/Solaris, Windows, Fibre Channel HBA drivers/firmware, Host-based multi-pathing software, SPARC hardware.
-Virtualization and clustering
-Experience with one or more of the following: EMC (V-Max, DMX, Clariion, ATMOS, and/or Centera), Hitachi, NetApp, Cisco MDS SAN switches
-Experience with one or more of the following backup and recovery solutions: Legato Networker, Avamar or Veritas NetBackup, VTL
-Advanced data management concepts, such as: data de-duplication, synchronous and asynchronous replication technologies for disaster recovery, data and disk tiering
-Scripting capabilities in Perl, Python, or other mainstream interpreted language.
-Native or near-native Japanese.
