Well... I tried IBus, and it *kinda* worked... but it didn't Just
Work(tm).  So I'm back to using scim now, which is behaving better for
some unknown reason. I'm concerned that their web site is still down
though... and I'm sure I'll have to change IM frameworks at some point,
but for now things are stable.  Thanks...
