I wonder about that.  It seems to me that the same kind of business
that would find cloud computing attractive (versus an in-house Windows
server) would also find a Linux or *BSD server attractive.  So that
part of the market would be already moving away from Windows, it's
just that their destination changes from Unix to the cloud.

What do you think?


I think they could be regarding sometimes strict security requisite WEB databese businesses
which do not prefer to choose in-house Windows servers
based on Apache & PHP and MySQL for specific needs in the nitche market.

e.g.

Virtual trade show for small Japanese and Asian parts manufacturers,
Online bookshops where purchasers can discuss with academic experts and literal authors,
Online consulting businesses etc.
