Yeah, this is a must.  If you ask, most likely the worst that may
happen is they yell a bit and say no.  Best case scenario, one of the
tech guys helps you set it up. ;P

If you "go under the radar," then worst case scenario you get fired
next week, and sewed/fined for damages.  Best case, you get fired a
few months down the line, and they just say the hell with it and have
the tech guys reinstall windows.
