So far with Arch I have not had any packages flat out break on me,
except for a strange anomaly with the desktop for XFCE4 (I am using
Enlightenment now).

Then again, Arch is a kind of hybrid between a Source and Binary distro.
The packages in the main distribution are all pretty much stable, and
get constant updates.  :P Everything else is up to you.
