Thanks for the link, but as I posted in a thread I started on the Fedora
forum, I think I found the solution:

1. Plug USB thumb drive into Fedora 9 box
2. Copy file to drive and eject
3. Walk up stairs with thumb drive in hand, in pocket or up nostril
4. Plug thumb drive into Mac and open file (after wiping off goo)
5. Print
