Probably pretty close given that an AC->DC converter is basically a DC->DC
converter with a bridge rectifier and a big capacitor on the input. The
efficiency of the rectifier is very high.

Of course, it all depends whether you're converting upwards or downwards.
Downwards is more efficient than upwards because there's comparatively
little current in the primary circuits, therefore little loss to Joule
effect before the energy even gets into the secondary.
