The results of a quick search on Google for "RL5c475" seem to indicate that
said hardware is the PCMCIA controller, not the SD card reader.

The author of a "linux on cf-y2" page did not get the SD card reader to work:
http://www.mfraenz.de/cf_y2/linuxoncf-y2.html

The CF-Y5 SD card reader seems to work, however, with kernel 2.6.20 and later,
according to the following websites:
http://www.cs.unm.edu/~moret/CFY5.html
http://davesource.com/Solutions/Linux-on-Panasonic-Y5.html

I don't know how different that model is from yours, but notes on the Y5 may
give you clues of how to approach the problem on the Y2 (which has fewer
Linux resources online).

Cheers,

Travis
