You'd better look at your Apache's log and see how many accesses are
done with Lynx. I bet it is less than 0.1% out of all the requests.

Lynx (or any other text only browser) will help you the see what your
site looks like to search engines, and to text readers and other aids
that visually impaired web surfers use. Text based browsers should be
in the tool kit of ALL web developers - IMHO.

Agreed here, but my problem is I extensively use javascript which is not supported by Lynx (I found a browser called Links, haven't looked at it yet, but they say it supports javascript in text mode), and visually impaired are the better argument in favour of doing text browsers than search bots. There was a fancy article on slashdot about what if google made google site their search engine friendly. Will find a link at some point.
