Nope.  If present, the GPL requires that the behavior be preserved.
I don't have a problem with that.  I do have a problem with people who
exercise the right to demand it, though. ;-)

Again, if present they must be preserved.  The "How to Use This
License" section does recommend using both IIRC, but it's not part of
the license as such.

Well, personally I'd like to see an explicit patent license in any
license.
