When it comes to promoting Linux, your "Windows is never free" nonsense
is doing more to hold it back than me and Stephen combined.

If you want to increase the use of Linux over Windows, you first need to
find out why people use Windows. After all, many people out there are
using it voluntarily. By insisting that it's not free to many of these
people, when it is from their point of view, you are preventing yourself
from doing an accurate economic analysis of their behaviour, and thus
preventing yourself from finding incentives that will be effective in
changing their behaviour.
