Pair programming [ was: Re: [tlug] [OT] Good IT Resume

Darren Cook ????????:
This makes sense: an exceptional programmer generally sees a solution in
5 seconds but cannot explain why (at least not quickly, and in an a way
anyone but they themselves understand).

It is called Tao(?), Kan(?) or Zen :D. Intuitive arts are only made by experience.
Pair programming might be useful with any level of programmer, but when
the pair have mismatched levels it is better to call it mentoring, and
change the expectations accordingly.

From FOSS perspective, it is a kind of peer review. Pair programming IMO makes novice programmers
learn from his senpai while his senpai get reviewed by the novice programmer. It makes the code less bug
prone.

This method also can bed applied to other steps of softwares development such as basic design, detail design,
and test.
