Knoppix Boot Options . . . . . . . (was Re: [tlug] Installing Linux on an Asus laptop)

I was referring to the depth option at the knoppix boot prompt. 
E.g., 

   boot: knoppix screen=1600x1200 vsync=85 depth=24

There are many knoppix boot options. 
Check them out with the "function" keys, 
such as <F2> and <F3> keys when you see the boot prompt. 

Of course, there's probably a pretty strong relationship 
between the knoppix boot depth option and the X configuration file.
