Yes, it was PB in my script. I was backing up critical files; saving
time/date-stamped copies, and I'd used the wrong format for `date`
which led to a space in the filename for the first 10 hours. I'd also
forgotten that the boxen have sendmail disabled, and hence I wasn't getting
the usual emails about failed cron jobs.
