[tlug] messages in tray

Dear Tlug,

Starting from Ubuntu Dapper, some notification bubbles appear near the
tray, when new updates are available, or when a new song begins with
rythmbox.

By googling a bit with google I am (not that much but quite) confident
that it is a daemon called notification-daemon using dbus. I read the
man page for dbus-send but could not make sense of the syntax..

Does anyone know how to send a message to this facility? Pointers and
faqs welcome ^^.
