I have no inside information, of course, but I wouldn't be surprised if
google decided to leave it as is, merely because it emulates the behaviour
of that piece of junk that infests every Windows machine (Outlook Express),
which - unfortunately - happens to be the most widely used virus
distribution kit^W^W^W MUA out there.
