does this happen on other machines with the same KVM.? Could it just be 
a faulty KVM..?

what version of Mozilla are you running.? Have you tried just upgrading 
Mozilla to see what results it produces.?

more so if it's the wife's computer...unless of course the wife is VERY 
forgiving...
