More likely a dictionary than an American.  Thoughtful Americans
("American" as in Brazilian, Estadounidense, and Inuit) have long
since agreed that flamewars over spelling are beneath us.  We just
use incorrect spelling to recognize those of lowerclass upbringing (or
perhaps stuck with a Japanese spellchecker module).

Anyway, how do you recommend spelling "license" as in "licentious use
of language"?
