Hm.  I agree that it would affect the out-of-box experience, but I'd
like to see that patent.  I don't see how you can patent "it's not
left-to-right"---that's not a process or device that has application.

So I would guess that you can expect that free software henkan engines
will get the capability, but I don't know when.
