This doesn't make sense.

Are you trying to tell us that *downloading* and analysing several hundred
spams per day on the MX uses up less bandwith than an RBL check per mail?

Do you think it unreasonable to consider the "average" spam to be roughly
4KB in size? Assuming you *don't* find it unreasonable, how about the
bandwidth used up by an "average" DNS lookup? A couple hundred bytes?

Let's say 400 bytes just to be pessimistic. You'll be breaking even from a
bandwidth POV if you reject one mail in 10.
